Theo & Tyler Doctor Scene

Theo: So Leighton, what can I help you?

Tyler: (Pause) I've just not been feeling too well.

Theo: Anything in particular.

Tyler: I think it might just be a migraine.

Theo: I'm going to need a little bit more information.

Tyler: Well, I get quite dizzy, and I've not been eating very well.

Theo: Have you had anything like this in the past?

Tyler: Erm, no.

Theo: Well Leighton, I am going to need a little bit more information about this.
Tyler: I just feel like the ground's swallowing me up. I'm on edge all the time, and then I get dizzy because I can't eat and then I get on edge and I just feel sick and then the headache kicks in. I can't do it.

Theo: How long have you been feeling like this?

Tyler: Just a few days.

Theo: A few days right, do you know what could've brought this on? anything in particular?

Tyler: I just don't fit in, I just don't.

Theo: In a sense how do you mean, I don't fit in.

Tyler: I'm not like other men on this street. (Tears up)

Theo: So you feel different?

(Enter the nurse)

 

Kiera: There you go doctor, two sugars.

 

Theo: Ah nurse, could you get Leighton's file please.

 

(Nurse exits)

 

Theo: We're just going to get your medical files, to see your medical files and any previous symptoms and any previous meetings about this to your past doctors. That way we can try and get to the heart of your illness for you.

 

Tyler: Doctor!

 

Theo: So the file is basically just a brief overview of-

 

Tyler: Doctor! I think I need some water.

 

(As Theo goes to get Tyler some water, Tyler darts off out the room and knocks Kiera over who is walking in with his files. The papers fly all over the stage. Both Kiera and Theo begin picking up the sheets of paper.)   

 Kiera: God. He was pale as a ghost walking out then. Where's he going.

Theo: I don't know, he asked for some water so I got up and then when I turned round he was gone.
